Introducing the Newest Members of the Apartment

One weekend in January, my roommates and I decided that we needed to get some fish for our apartment. We decided we would each pick one out and name them after strong, faithful, single LDS women. :) It took us two months, but we finally got our tank set up (well our neighbor, Josh, set it up) and this past week we finally bought the fish!

Here are the beauties. Ash chose the big yellow one. Her name is Barb (Barbara Thompson). The little guppy is Deb's. Her name is Sheri (Sheri Dew). And mine is the red and black one. Her name is Kristen (Kristen Oaks. She was single for a long time before she married Elder Oaks :) ). The three became instant best friends as soon as we let them go in our brand new tank with the Girls Rule sign!



The next day, our neighbors brought over some friends for the girls. They brought 3 little neon tetras to represent them. They also brought us an algae eater to help clean the tank. AND they even brought us a castle to put in the tank. We are spoiled! We named the three little "neighbs" after three strong LDS men. They go by Tommy, Hal, and Diets. (See if you can figure out that one.)


We love our little fish! It's amazing how much joy we get just from watching them swim around.
