I am so grateful for music. I was playing the piano today for the school choir (one of my school responsibilities that I'm quite grateful for...it forces me to play) and was reminded of the power of music. We are preparing for our Christmas concert next Tuesday. Our closing song is "I Cannot Find My Way." At the end of the song, the kids belt out "And if you've lost your way, that light shines bright today! And it will shine eternally! Three kings found the Lord, and so can we. Three kings found the Lord, and so must we." So powerful to hear from over a hundred 4th, 5th, and 6th graders.
I'm grateful my mom put me in piano lessons when I was 5 (did you ever think I'd say that, Mom??). Playing the piano is my relaxant. It's my stress relief. It's my anti-drug. :) I'm also grateful for the influence of the Lord in my life. I'm grateful that everyone has the chance to find the way. Not only can we, but we must!
**I had a girl write a story today about how she gets a new ordermint every year for the Christmas tree. I thought it was cute.
