Weekend Crafts

I am SO grateful for weekends full of crafts. This weekend I got to go hang out with Melanie and Mason (while Robbie's gone with Guard stuff). Melanie and I went to the Wood Connection and I just went crazy. It's a good thing I only go there once every so often. Anyway, Melanie and I have made the wooden letters SPRING, SUMMER, and AUTUMN so we decided we needed WINTER to complete the year. I also found some boards for pretty cheap to make a craft for my fellow 2nd grade teachers. We got back to Melanie's and just went crazy the rest of the day!

Here's the completed WINTER project:

I have been wanting to make something that says "Find Joy in the Journey" for a long time. I think that is going to be the "theme" I'll focus on the next little while. I decided to also make one for the rest of my 2nd grade team. It's been an interesting beginning of the school year and I think it's always good to remember to find that joy in the journey, wherever the journey takes you!

Here's one of the six I made:

I'm grateful for the time I get to spend with Melanie, Robbie, and Mason being here in Utah. They are so generous and treat me so good! I especially love listening to Mason talk (nonstop). Such a cutie. I can't wait to move even closer in the "near" future!
